In 1996, when GAME 7 founder Lance Roehl ran across several different “trash-talk” shirts from AND 1 in a local mall, he left dismayed because there wasn’t anything in the store for him to take pride in wearing.

That day became the initial spark that led to the creation of GAME 7.

A brand needed to be developed that would promote being “GAME 7” in every game you play, every time you take the court.

The name, GAME 7, originates from the final game of a best-of-seven playoff series.

GAME 7 is an apparel and sporting equipment brand for those who take great pride in performing under the most pressure-packed situations: when courage is paramount, true toughness is required, and RESPECT IS EARNED.

GAME 7 is about being someone that can be depended on, especially in the most adverse situations, in the ultimate arena for competition.

Lance is a former professional athlete and played on several championship teams growing up. GAME 7 is what he is leaving behind to the sports world. It is his contribution for all of the positive experiences he had participating in sports, and all of the special moments shared with his friends, teammates and coaches. GAME 7 was created with the hope that others would experience similar moments.

Located in Santa Clara, California, GAME 7 was launched in June of 2000.
